Input

Generate Schema.org JSON-LD

Output

JSON-LD

620 characters

Google reads JSON-LD anywhere in the page, but only uses it when the marked-up content is visible on the page: an FAQPage whose questions are not shown is a guideline violation, not a shortcut. Test with Google's Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org. Empty fields are left out rather than written as empty strings.

Runs in this browser. Nothing you paste is sent to a server.

Markup must match the page

Google uses structured data only when it describes content visible on the page; marking up FAQs that are not shown, or reviews that do not exist, is a guideline violation that can earn a manual action. Rich result eligibility also changes over time, so check the current list in Google's structured data search gallery.

Testing

Google's Rich Results Test shows which rich results a page qualifies for, and validator.schema.org checks the markup against the vocabulary itself.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I put JSON-LD on a page?
Anywhere in the HTML, usually the head. Several blocks on one page are fine, or combine them in an @graph array.
Does structured data improve rankings?
It does not raise rankings directly. It makes pages eligible for rich results, which can improve click-through, and helps search engines understand entities.
Is what I paste sent anywhere?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type or paste is sent to our server or stored.
